DAY 12

I took this at the Safari Inn. It's a FAMOUS motel that has been in a ton of movies from True Romance to Apollo 13. I've never stayed there. But I LOVE the sign. It's so old school cool!

DAY 11

Out on a walk, I found this patch of roses. I really thought they were very pretty. I took this picture with the Hipstamatic app using the Lucifer VI lens and the Ina's 1969 film. The Lucifer lens creates that red hue around the edges of the white flowers.

DAY 10

I took my camera out to learn some of the more advanced settings. I created my own B&W super contrasty option. This is Ling Ling. She is a bit skittish. But she was sitting so nicely that I couldn't resist taking a picture.

This is Tiki Al's last night with friends before he went back to China. Phillip, Tiki Al, Kenar and myself had a wonderful dinner of spaghetti which Kenar made for us! Tiki Al brought yummy pastries from Porto's. We had a really nice night.

This is on the corner of Palmetto & Mateo streets in Los Angeles. This building had been seen in many tv shows and commercials. I have adored this building for some time. This photo almost has an HDR look to it.

Burbank has once a year a classic car fest called BeBoppin in the Park. It is so much fun. So many cool old cars show up. I dressed up in one of my vintage dresses and went out to look at the cars. I took many pictures.

I go in for an infusion (AKA Super Serum) every 6 months to fight my Rheumatoid Arthritis, (RA). They put this weird sock like thing over my injection site. I guess it keeps things in place better.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have collected lake tumbled glass. I have a nice collection which resides on my dresser in a pretty glass bowl. I love taking pictures of this glass.

I realized later in the evening that I hadn't gotten my picture for the day. So I took out my macro lens and took some shots of things I have in the kitchen. This is the best shot I took.

I decided to walk around downtown Burbank. I was kinda unsure what I wanted to shoot for the day. I came upon this really interesting piece of graffiti. I really dig the Marilyn drawing.

Day 2

I went down to the Mariachi Square in East Los Angeles. I was hoping to get some good pictures of mariachis but it was too damn hot. So I got this is a great piece of wall art instead. I am hoping that I can get down there again when it's not so hot so I can get some pictures of the mariachis.

This is the parking lot of the Target in Burbank. I shot it using the Hipstamatic App using the Watts lens, Ina's 1969 film and no flash.

New Project 365

So I have decided to do another Project 365. The last one really kept me on track. I don't do well when I just have time on my hands. I don't relax well. ;) So I decided, in order to keep me from loosing my marbles, I'd start one. I know that most people start theirs more toward the beginning of the year. But what the heck!

I started it about 5 days my Tumblr site. And I'm starting to realize that I'm not so happy with it. One of my photos got reblogged quite a few times. But a lot of those were reblogged from some one else's site. And I didn't get credit.

So I think I will bring it back over here to this site. I feel like I have a bit more control here. So I will be updating with the days that I have already shot this weekend.
