I'm very much about supporting local small businesses. Besame Cosmetics are a vintage inspired/repro makeup company. Their packaging is very much like something you'd see in make up from the 1940's and 1950's. They have a retail store in Burbank, CA in the Magnolia Park area. Besame's lipsticks have been used most recently in American Horror Story: Freak Show and Marvel's Agent Carter.

Day 17
My most AWESOME eBay purchase. I've started wearing broaches with my retro dresses. I saw this on eBay and thought it was super cool. The propellers actually can move. It needs to be cleaned up a bit but it's going to look great!
Day 16
This lamp is LOVELY!! Took a trip over to the Pasadena Antique Center. Most of the items there are way out of my price range. And it was most furniture, which I'm not in the market for just yet.
Day 1
Starting the year off with a Los Angeles landmark. City Hall has been in countless movies and TV shows. It is such a lovely building. I do want to go poke around inside the building one of these days.
Day 155
While cleaning out some of my mom's stuff, I found this lovely vintage scarf in a drawer. It was packed away in some items I brought to California with me. I had put it away in a bag of thread and only found it again recently.
Day 135
Upon my grandmother's passing, I received a vintage purse that had lots of her costume jewelry. The unfortunate part is that most of the pieces are broken or missing their mate. These are a few of the earrings that I need to repair.
Day 130
George Barris, creator of the Batmobile and other iconic television cars, has a yearly car show in Culver City. The main era of cars are 1950's and 1960's but we saw also many cars from the last 20 years. It was hotter than hell out. And it wasn't as enjoyable because of the heat. Also the cars were lined up funny. They had rows of cars that end to end. You really couldn't enjoy them. I thought this car was really cool. Very California! You can check out the website for the car show here.

Day 91
While the Boyfriend and I were walking in Downtown Disney, we came upon a store that had a lot of StarWars stuff. We had to go in. Towards the back of the store, they had other stuff. I found this awesome Jessica Rabbit t-shirt. I wasn't sure if I should buy it, but the Boyfriend said if I didn't that I would regret it. And he was right. So I bought it. Day 74
I had misplaced my very awesome, very vintage sunglasses. I could not find them AT ALL. So I decided to purchase some cat eye glasses from an online store. And of course, my vintage glasses turned up the day before these were delivered! I'm not super in love with the new cat eyed glasses. They are oversized on my face. It's not exactly the look I was going for, but that's ok. At least, I have sunglasses now! Processed with Instagram using the Mayfair filter.
Day 70
I hadn't gotten my photo for the day, so I decided to drive around Burbank/Toluca Lake area. There is an apartment complex that is next to Warner Bros. that I saw the sign of. And it had neon! It looks pretty vintage-y. And I love to see what the units look like. I have no plans to move out of my apartment but I always like to check out buildings.
Day 65
Driving in Pasadena, I saw this vintage gas station. It was closed down and it looked like it might be in the process of turned into something else. Not sure if the gas pumps were original or not. They looked to be in really good condition. So I'm not sure. I really want go back and take some more pictures there. Shot with Hipstamatic app using the Americana Lens and Blanko Freedom13 film.

Day 63
I had been looking for some vintage aprons lately. And at a vintage expo, I came across these two beauties. So now I have three half aprons and no full length ones. I think I am going to get repro full length ones because I've seen a many that are really cute. Shot with Instagram using the X-ProII filter.
Day 18
Friday means heading over to Bob's Big Boy on Riverside Drive. There are always classic cars hanging out there. Jay Leno has been known to bring cars over to hang out. I've never seen him there, which is strange. I try to go over to Bob's at least twice a month.
