I've driven by this church in Burbank a million times. And have been super interested in this neon sign.

Day 134
I got passes to see the new Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, the night before it was released here in the US. The passes were for Sherry Lansing Theatre on the Paramount Lot!! So very COOL! And it was in 3D.
Day 84
I decided to check out the warehouse area just a couple of streets over from my apartment. It mostly warehouses but I found this small motel tucked in between all of this industrial area. It seems very strange but it looks like it's been there for some time. They had this amazing neon sign up. I will have to go back some night to see if it lights up. Edited in Aperture.
Day 70
I hadn't gotten my photo for the day, so I decided to drive around Burbank/Toluca Lake area. There is an apartment complex that is next to Warner Bros. that I saw the sign of. And it had neon! It looks pretty vintage-y. And I love to see what the units look like. I have no plans to move out of my apartment but I always like to check out buildings.
Day 53
I had almost forgotten to get my picture for the day. I stopped to take this picture with my iPhone. I've been noticing that my iPhone's camera has this green tint to the center of the photo. And it didn't handle the neon very well. I forgot to get AppleCare on my phone, so I can't get it swapped out. Boo. I'll just have to deal with it until I can upgrade my phone.
Day 49
I was having a hard time with inspiration. That night nothing I shot I cared for. I drove into downtown Burbank. There were a couple of neon signs. I'm still not thrilled with this picture. But it's the best I that I shot of the evening.
Day 23
There is this bar at the end of the block. I have never been in it. But it's kind of famous. It's been in several movies and tv shows. And it's been around since the 1940's. Which is really cool. I took this with my iPhone using the app Hipstamatic and the John S. lens and the Blanko Freedom13 film.

Day 22
I follow on Twitter some amazing news feeds. One is @LAScanner and the other is @BurbankNBeyond. They are both really good at getting news before any of the majors get it. And @LAScanner is ridiculously funny!! It came over @BurbankNBeyond feed that there was some kind of car crash just down the street. So of course I had to pick up my camera and go check it out. A minivan jumped the curb and went all the way into the florist shop. One of the employees was temporarily pinned but got out with minor injuries. Everyone else was ok. It's been just over a week and it's still boarded up and they have not reopened.
Day 19
In Glendale, there is this theatre called The Alex Theatre. It was originally a theatre for vaudeville performances and silent film screenings. It now hosts lots of amazing performing art productions. The Alex Theatre signs have a lot of neon. The night I went by to take pictures there was a big band concert. I really need to sign up for The Alex Theatre's mailings. I really would have loved to have gone to the big band concert.
Day17
As I was walking in North Hollywood, I walked by this crazy looking sushi bar. It's called Tokyo Delve's Sushi Bar. I've driven by it many times when there have been lines outside of people waiting to get in. I'm not a big sushi fan, so I never really gave it much thought. But it has lovely neon outside. I snapped a few pictures of the awesome neon.
DAY 24
Driving on Burbank Blvd. I've passed this amazing sign a million times. I took my Rebel T3i with me along with my iPhone4. I got out and framed up a shot with my Rebel and turned the camera on. And it didn't turn on. I had forgotten to take the battery out of the charger and put it back in the camera! D'oh! So this was taken with my iPhone4.
DAY 19
A while back, a friend and I were driving around looking for a restaurant and came upon this hotel. I had made a note in my head that I wanted to return to take pictures of the neon sign. So I adjusted this in Apple's Aperture so the colors would really pop. I also shot some in black and white. While I really liked the Black and White images, I am really in love with the vintage-y, toy camera look.
DAY 15
Roaming around downtown, I have always wanted to go inside the Bradbury Building. I have been fan of the movie BladeRunner since I was in college. They filmed part of the movie here. I really would love to get inside to shoot.
