Day 14

Out for another walk, I passed by our neighbor's planter. These little flowers are super cute.

Day 106

Walking down my street, I saw this lovely grouping of succulents. They have become a "Thing" here in SoCal. I've seen lots of planters with succulents. Many more than a few years back. I've been thinking about creating a small planter with some different types of succulents. I have a "black thumb" when it comes to plants. So we'll have to see....

Day 100

I went walking in my neighborhood. I walked past this lovely rose. I took about 5 shots with different framings. I liked this one the best.

Day 22

I follow on Twitter some amazing news feeds. One is @LAScanner and the other is @BurbankNBeyond. They are both really good at getting news before any of the majors get it. And @LAScanner is ridiculously funny!! It came over @BurbankNBeyond feed that there was some kind of car crash just down the street. So of course I had to pick up my camera and go check it out. A minivan jumped the curb and went all the way into the florist shop. One of the employees was temporarily pinned but got out with minor injuries. Everyone else was ok. It's been just over a week and it's still boarded up and they have not reopened.

Day20

The Sister in Law needed to run a few errands. So we headed off to the nearest Lowes. She needed to pick up some plants. I snapped this with my iPhone. I really like the colors of these flowers and plants in the little bit of water. I put a boarder around it using PictureShow.

Between The Storms

In California, we've had some major storms come through. There have been many waves of storms. We'll get some really wet weather and then it will dry up. As of right now, it's raining again. It was overcast and dreary this morning with no rain. Now it's raining again. Blech! We've had the sun peak through several times. I decided to just walk up and down the street while we had one of these breaks to take some pictures.

DAY 11

Out on a walk, I found this patch of roses. I really thought they were very pretty. I took this picture with the Hipstamatic app using the Lucifer VI lens and the Ina's 1969 film. The Lucifer lens creates that red hue around the edges of the white flowers.
