Classic cars fascinate me. The lines. The colors. The chrome. A time when things were different. Southern California is known for it's car scene. And the place to see amazing classic cars is at Bob's Big Boy on Friday nights. Car owners come to hang out with their friends. This was taken with the Hipstamatic app using the Americana lens and Blanko Freedom13 film.

Day 156
Hipstamatic released a new lens pack. This is the Madelena lens and Robusta film. This was a test shot of some lovely plants that live on the apartment deck. I'm kind of liking the brown hue to this shot.

Day 136
A friend was having a Fire Fly themed costumed birthday party. You could go as any Fire Fly character or any character from a Joss Whedon movie or TV show. I had gone to a convention right before Thor came out. And I got a a S.H.I.E.L.D badge. Pretty cool, huh?
Day 79
This is one of my cats. She is a Persian mixed. This is a test shot for the new Hipstamatic package I purchased. This is the Abbie Lens and the Dixie film. I'm not sure if I like it very much. Kinda a bummer set. Oh well.

Day 65
Driving in Pasadena, I saw this vintage gas station. It was closed down and it looked like it might be in the process of turned into something else. Not sure if the gas pumps were original or not. They looked to be in really good condition. So I'm not sure. I really want go back and take some more pictures there. Shot with Hipstamatic app using the Americana Lens and Blanko Freedom13 film.

Day 47
There is an AMAZING event in San Pedro every year called The Great Air Raid. It is a World War II reenactment. In 1942, there was this something that traveled up and down the coast of California. The military shot over 1500 rounds at it. And it didn't come down. Some say it was weather balloon, others say it was aliens. The Great Air Raid reenacts the day and shoots off blanks and fireworks at the end of the evening. There is a big band and many awesome WW2 jeeps, cars and transports. Most people show up in period dress. And it's aways a BLAST!! You can read more about the actual event in 1942 here.
Day 23
There is this bar at the end of the block. I have never been in it. But it's kind of famous. It's been in several movies and tv shows. And it's been around since the 1940's. Which is really cool. I took this with my iPhone using the app Hipstamatic and the John S. lens and the Blanko Freedom13 film.

Holiday Lights
I guess it's technically not too early for holiday lights to go up. Personally, I like to wait until it is December. But since this holiday season started on Thanksgiving for many people, I guess it makes sense that people have put up lights already. I plan on taking more pictures of holiday lights as the season goes on. Enjoy!

DAY 37
I had to take the BF to LAX early in the morning. He was flying out for a job. As I came back, I stopped to take some pictures of the sunrise. They didn't really turn out all that well. I was exhausted. I found this really interesting tree trunk. I took this photo with the Hipstamatic App using the Bettie XL lens and the Pistil Film.

Day 14
Upon returning home from the grocery, the banana's ended up on the counter top, so I snapped a picture with my iPhone4 using the Hipstamatic app.
DAY 11
Out on a walk, I found this patch of roses. I really thought they were very pretty. I took this picture with the Hipstamatic app using the Lucifer VI lens and the Ina's 1969 film. The Lucifer lens creates that red hue around the edges of the white flowers.
