Day 130

George Barris, creator of the Batmobile and other iconic television cars, has a yearly car show in Culver City. The main era of cars are 1950's and 1960's but we saw also many cars from the last 20 years. It was hotter than hell out. And it wasn't as enjoyable because of the heat. Also the cars were lined up funny. They had rows of cars that end to end. You really couldn't enjoy them. I thought this car was really cool. Very California! Misc. Info: So I follow several "Geek Girls" on Twitter and a few of them were bummed they were not attending the New York Comic Con. So they decided to have a gathering at the Tonga Hut in North Hollywood. I went and had GREAT time. I met some amazing women who I admire and I had so much fun. Pictured is Amy in a Boba Fett helmet. The helmet was used as a bowl to draw names for some goodies. When my name was called, I received an AWESOME bar of soap from Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs. I am IN LOVE with bpal!!!

Misc. Info: I needed to the beach in order to have a de-stresser. Things have been really crazy in my life with my health and my family. So I took my camera and headed over to Santa Monica and beach. Since then, the weight my shoulders has become much more manageable. I adjusted in Aperture and dropped the color out.

Misc. Info: I decided after looking at Flickr for inspiration that I would bust out my macro lens/filter. So I decided to grab a cork and play with that. I could have used better lighting. But I shot in my kitchen which isn't the best lighting but it is the brightest. The cork is from a bottle of Cellar No. 8 Zin. I've had this wine several times and have enjoyed a lot.

Misc. Info: The meds I am on kicked my ass. I slept so much, I took a 7+ hour nap. My feet were cold even though it was really warm out. I think a side effect of the meds. Misc. Info: Today was my 2nd infusion. It went better than the 1st time around. Although they had a hard time finding the vein, cuz I had 3 cups of coffee, and caffeine constricts things. But once they found it, we were good. I actually slept over 2 hours which made things go fast. And when the buzzer went off to say I was done, I was totally surprised. I thought I had a lot more time to go. I am at home now, and I feel a bit off. But a good night's rest should help!

Misc. Info: So at the BBQ, one of my neighbors disclosed he is a Chicago Bears fan.Which is sad, as I am a Packers fan. The big deal was they were playing against each other on Monday Night Football. So the entire night of the BBQ, he was talking smack about the Packers. So I decided the only way to get him back was to decorate his front door with Packer colors. So here's my creation. Unfortunately, the Packers lost. :( :( :( But we do play again later in the season at Green Bay, home field advantage, so We should be able to kick some ass!!!
