Day 2

Drove through the Art's District of downtown LA. I love this area because of all of the warehouses. 

Day 18

Ahhhh.... Sprecher is my favorite small brewery. They do both beer and soda. And they are from Milwaukee, WI. We went down to watch the Packers game with one of my friends from high school that lives here in the LA area. Unfortunately, the Packers lost in a heartbreaking game. But at least I got some good soda out of it. 

Day 8

I was took an evening and found this street light with the San Fernando sign. It just spoke to me. 

Day 7

The Arts District and just south of DownTown LA is a favorite place for film and TV shoots. And I love the area. Unfortunately, this monstrosity was build in the area. It is called One Santa Fe. It is an overpriced live/work building. And it has totally ruined the sight lines of the city. When I drove through the area, there was some type of production happening. 

Day 6

A lovely birthday lunch at The Proud Bird. This restaurant has a long and wonderful aviation history. It has been around for over 40 years. And unfortunately, it's a dying breed. In 2013, they were being threatening with closed. Because the land is super expensive. It was saved and they are trying to get it historic landmarked, so LAX can't demo it. I would be sad to see it go. LA is not a city has preserves its history. 

Day 2

Not exactly the way I wanted to start the year but it had to be done. This pump gives me medicine that allows me to kick Rheumatoid Arthritis right in the ass!

Day 1

Starting the year off with a Los Angeles landmark. City Hall has been in countless movies and TV shows. It is such a lovely building. I do want to go poke around inside the building one of these days.

Day 134

I got passes to see the new Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, the night before it was released here in the US. The passes were for Sherry Lansing Theatre on the Paramount Lot!! So very COOL! And it was in 3D. 

Day 132

Day 128

The spooky Old LA Zoo. There have been many movies and televisions shot here. It's kind of scary because it looks abandoned. But there are are always people around walking or doing photo shoots. 

Day 116

Along the 5 freeway, there is an old Pabst Brewery which has been turned into a an artist community called The Brewery Artist Lofts. Twice a year, the community does an open house art walk. The website is here. There is so much really interesting art that goes on. This year, I ran into several of my friends who I didn't know were attending. It was really great. The Shirt, Pictured, was siting in someone's space. I just thought it was cool and it had lights! 

Day 76

My sister in law had food poisoning. So I had go down to make sure she was ok. I snapped this picture while heading down to her house. ( No, I wasn't driving.) Processed with Instagram using the X-Pro II filter. 

Day 67

Second dose of SuperSerum. This is the pump that administrates my medication. I did not sleep all the way through. Which was kind of a bummer. But I made it. 

Day 59

Living in Los Angeles, there are so many amazing studios and so much amazing movie history. Burbank has many studios including Disney. This is the Disney Animation building. I got shooed away from the property by security because I was on the driveway taking pictures of the building. I still was able to get some really cool pictures.

Day 54

This is off Santa Fe Ave. This drive goes down into the LA River. It has been in MANY MANY television shows and movies. I have always wanted to go down the river bed. But it's can be really unsafe. I'm going to have to make a plan..... ;) 

Day 50

During the month of October, many of the cable stations run Halloween specials. One them featured a store called Dapper Cadaver. They are a prop house here in Los Angeles. They provide all the creepy props for some of your favorite shows such as: CSI, NCIS, Bones etc. They are AWESOME! I had wanted to go in during the Halloween season but it is so crazy; I decided to wait. I popped in and was not disappointed!! 

Day 40

A good friend of mine Theresa, participated in a craft fair at Clockwork Couture. Clockwork Couture is a steampunk store here in Burbank. They carry steampunk clothing and accessories. Their work is beautiful. I highly recommend if you are in the market for steampunk cosplay to check out their store if you are in the Los Angeles area or check out their website HERE.

Day 29

I decided to shoot in an area that I don't normally take pictures in. I drove over to Atwater Village. It's a cute area of Los Angeles. There are a lot of really cool little stores along Glendale Ave. I saw this sign that had been ripped down. It looked really neat. There was some kind of buildings on the sign. I couldn't make it out. 

Day 16

Last summer I hear about this Danish pastry shop opening here in Los Angeles. It's over in Culver City and I rarely get over to that side of the city. I finally had enough errands to run on the west side that I was going to FINALLY try out Copenhagen Pastry. I was NOT disappointed! The top row is their version of kringle. And on the bottom row there is the copenhagen pastry, water kringle and cinnamon roll. I really enjoyed everything I had. I was a tad bummed to find out they only make the kringle in the traditional kind and not fruit filled. But I will live! Hehehe.

DAY 52

The BF aunt was going back to Mexico and we took her to LAX. But we had a ton of time to kill before her flight. So we went over to the Tom Bradley building to get some food and to walk around. I love the big board of Departures!
