The reason I couldn't shoot Michael Half-Life for both shooting days is because the Memphis Belle came to the Burbank Airport. A few years back, I had the joy of seeing the Liberty Belle, another B17. She was involved in an accident a few years back. You can read about it here. I was so sad that we had lost one of these Flying Fortresses. The Liberty Foundation has replaced her with the Memphis Belle. This is the plane that was in the movie Memphis Belle. The Boyfriend and I get dressed up in World War 2 clothing. He in his uniform and I dressed up in my Rosies. Here's a picture of me:

Day 84
I decided to check out the warehouse area just a couple of streets over from my apartment. It mostly warehouses but I found this small motel tucked in between all of this industrial area. It seems very strange but it looks like it's been there for some time. They had this amazing neon sign up. I will have to go back some night to see if it lights up. Edited in Aperture.
DAY 22
I took this picture out side of my apartment. We had some great clouds. I adjusted the photo in Apple's Aperture. I am in love with clouds!

DAY 19
A while back, a friend and I were driving around looking for a restaurant and came upon this hotel. I had made a note in my head that I wanted to return to take pictures of the neon sign. So I adjusted this in Apple's Aperture so the colors would really pop. I also shot some in black and white. While I really liked the Black and White images, I am really in love with the vintage-y, toy camera look.

Day 304

Weather: Overcast, mid 50's chilly, Yucky.
Time: 3:33pm
Location: Los Feliz, Echo Park area
Camera: Canon Rebel, 18-55mm lens ISO 200, Shutter Speed 1/40, Aperture f/5.6
Misc. Info:
So upon driving around, I've past this area a lot and never stopped to take pictures. So I had Phillip drive me out and I shot about 50+ shots. But I had a very strange problem with all of my shots. They all had this blue hue to them. Didn't matter what I shot, all blue. After I came home and played with my camera a bit, I figured out why. DUH!! I had the camera white balanced for fluorescent lights. Super big DUH!!! I must have changed the white balance at some point and forgot to change it back to auto. I can't believe I had done that, although with everything going on in my life, I guess it's not shocking that I made that kind of mistake!
So I white balanced in Aperture and then put the Toy Camera filter on it. I am going to go shoot the same area again but this time I will be more on the ball!

Day 286

Weather: Don't remember. :(
Time: 10:18pm
Location: Near AMC in Burbank, CA
Camera: Samsung Point and Shoot
Misc. Info: I had received in my email about a free movie screening. I totally misread when it was, so Phillip and I headed over to the AMC to see the free movie only to realize it was for that the 11th not the 9th. Oops! I dropped the color out in Aperture 3.
Day 285

Weather: Mid 50's, Dark,
Time: 7:57pm
Location: My Apt.
Camera: Canon Rebel, ISO 800, 18-55mm lens, Shutter Speed 1/30, Aperture f/5

Weather: Warm, Sunny, So NICE!! :)
Time: 4:41pm
Camera: Canon Rebel, ISO 200, 18-55mm Lens, Shutter Speed 1/1250, Aperture f/5.6
Location: Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA
Misc. Info: I needed to the beach in order to have a de-stresser. Things have been really crazy in my life with my health and my family. So I took my camera and headed over to Santa Monica and beach. Since then, the weight my shoulders has become much more manageable. I adjusted in Aperture and dropped the color out.
