DAY 33
I drove over to Santa Monica for an errand and afterwards, I went to the Santa Monica Pier. I have seen the equipment for the Trapeze School but I have never seen the school in action. This time, there were classes going on. I only had the kit lens on my camera. And while I got some great shots, like this one, I am excited to go back with my other lens to get some really great shots!
DAY 32
As I went to Ralph's to pick up some groceries, I heard over the intercom something about a pirate at the front of the store. I was like "What?!?!" I had to see what this Pirate was all about. It turns out to be a Capt. Morgan's Rum Pirate. I had to take a picture of a pirate!
DAY 31
I love taking photos in downtown. I really enjoy the urban architecture. I took many pictures and I really liked this one of the stop sign. All of the stickers are really interesting. I decided to shoot in black and white because I like the impact that black and white has.
DAY 29
By the Ikea in Burbank, there is a multilevel parking structure. We drove up to the top and took this lovely sunset photo with my iPhone4. We had been out shopping so I didn't have my Rebel with the longer lens. I think I will have to come back to get some more shots of the Valley.
DAY 28
Theresa and I went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market this month. It was Theresa's first time and I think she was overwhelmed. I know I was the first time I went. As we entered, James Van Der Beek walked by us quickly.
This is one of the booths that we passed by. We both didn't make any purchases but I saw so many pretty thing. And so many great decorating ideas.
DAY 26
As I was walking to get the mail, I came upon this little apple sitting on the ground. I walked by it a couple of times trying to see if it was real or not. It turns out that it was a piece of a neighbor's wreath. So I broke out the macro lens and set the apple on a step and snapped away!
DAY 25
There are two old motels side by side in Studio City, CA. They have used in many TV shows such as Dexter and CSI. Since I am working on a series of photo of old motel neon. I knew I had to check it out. The photo is tweaked a bit in Apple's Aperture. I think I'm going to go back when it's the rainy season to get a different look.
DAY 24
Driving on Burbank Blvd. I've passed this amazing sign a million times. I took my Rebel T3i with me along with my iPhone4. I got out and framed up a shot with my Rebel and turned the camera on. And it didn't turn on. I had forgotten to take the battery out of the charger and put it back in the camera! D'oh! So this was taken with my iPhone4.
Day 23
So this is the lovely Teresa Jusino! She is amazing blogger who covers nerdy things. This was her Welcome to LA party. She is from NYC and moved to LA in order to grow her career. The lovely ladies of The LxL had a pool party in her honor!
Life interrupted
So I know I haven't been posting. I have been shooting. We have a guest staying with us and so my computer hasn't been in its regular spot. I physically haven't been comfortable working on my computer. So I have many pictures to update! So that is what I am doing now! :)
DAY 22
I took this picture out side of my apartment. We had some great clouds. I adjusted the photo in Apple's Aperture. I am in love with clouds!

DAY 21
These are the rocks in the fountain at the Americana at Brand. I helped a friend get a new iPhone, after we got done with her purchase, we wandered over to the Americana. I wanted to see the new Apple Store and I took some pictures of the rocks under the water.
DAY 20
So on a drive through Burbank/Toluca Lake area, I came upon this AMAZING finial on a fence. I just love the texture. I had to get out and take some pictures of it. I have some very pretty close ups but I like this one the best!
DAY 19
A while back, a friend and I were driving around looking for a restaurant and came upon this hotel. I had made a note in my head that I wanted to return to take pictures of the neon sign. So I adjusted this in Apple's Aperture so the colors would really pop. I also shot some in black and white. While I really liked the Black and White images, I am really in love with the vintage-y, toy camera look.
DAY 18
Shot inside Rocket Fizz here in Burbank. They have many locations around LA. And they are branching out thru the country. They specialize in vintage candy and soda. SO AMAZING!!! :) Check them out if you have a chance.
DAY 16
This in the parking lot of the Burbank Adult School. If you look closely, you will see the lights of an airplane. That night we were right in the flight path of Bob Hope Airport. Shot on my iPhone4 with the Hipstamatic App.
DAY 15
Roaming around downtown, I have always wanted to go inside the Bradbury Building. I have been fan of the movie BladeRunner since I was in college. They filmed part of the movie here. I really would love to get inside to shoot.
Day 14
Upon returning home from the grocery, the banana's ended up on the counter top, so I snapped a picture with my iPhone4 using the Hipstamatic app.
Update
I have gotten behind in posting my photos. But that doesn't mean I haven't been taking pictures. I totally have!!! Life has been super busy as of recent. And I am hoping to post the pictures once I have a bit more time!
